Why Some Websites Have a Hard Time Making Sales

The internet is a wonderful place to buy items. It provides endless options with the convenience of sitting at home and searching for what you want, then clicking ‘buy.’ However, there are some websites that have trouble making sales. This article will cover five reasons why this may be happening and how they can fix it.

Some websites will sell a product for $10, but the same website sells the same product for $100. The difference in price is because of how much work it takes to make that sale. When you’re selling something on Amazon or Ebay, there are steps involved – they have to find your listing and browse through all of the listings until they find what they want. It’s easy to say no when you don’t feel like going through those steps right now, which is why some sites have a hard time making sales. Here is a business technology blog, you can check.

Websites are not built with conversion in mind

The internet is a dynamic and ever-changing beast. It’s an open world where anything goes. The problem with this, though, is that not everything we do online has conversion in mind. Websites are not built with conversion in mind because they don’t need to be – the site’s owners already have their desired outcome: your time on the site whether you’re browsing or reading content. A recent study by HubSpot has found that the typical website is designed to attract visitors, not convert them into customers. The research suggests that websites are built with aesthetics in mind, rather than conversion rates and achieving the desired goal. In order for a website to be successful it needs to have an intuitive design which will drive conversions and entice customers into signing up or buying from your site.

The website is not mobile-friendly

Google has recently announced that starting March 1, 2017 if a website is not mobile-friendly it will be penalized in the search engine results pages.  This means that if you are looking for information on your phone and can’t find it because of this penalty, Google might show you an ad instead! To avoid this happening to your site contact us today and we will make sure to have a responsive design ready before the deadline.

Poor design of the site, including the homepage and product pages

Recently, I have been trying to find a new laptop. I was browsing on Amazon for laptops when the page took me to a more expensive laptop than the one I had selected. It seemed like there were two different pages with entirely different prices and selections of laptops. In addition, both pages weren’t very intuitive about what they were actually selling. The site also didn’t make it clear how I could compare prices and features or even go back to my original selection in order to compare them side-by-side.The homepage is poorly designed, and it’s difficult to find the products. The product pages are cluttered with too many images, and there isn’t enough information about the product or where it is made. The other thing I noticed was that there wasn’t a lot of variety in the clothes they had available for purchase.

Lack of trust from customers due to low quality content

Many companies are beginning to have a hard time retaining customers due to the lack of trust they have in them. As a result, many people are losing faith in businesses and turning towards other options like Amazon or their local mom and pop shops. This lack of trust is caused by low quality content that’s not fresh enough for readers.

Many people feel as if they can’t relate to it because it feels like its been written for an audience who doesn’t share their similar interests, hobbies, or background. Fortunately, there are ways you can fix this issue by improving your customer engagement!

Companies are struggling with the lack of trust from their customers due to low quality content. They may think that they are being authentic and real, but in reality, it is making them look unprofessional.

Too many distractions on the page

There are a lot of distractions on the web that can make it difficult to focus. These different types of distractions range from pop-ups, irrelevant links and too much text. It’s easy to get lost if you don’t have a plan for what you want to accomplish when you visit your favorite website or blog. If this is something that has been affecting how often and how long you spend on websites, then these tips may be helpful in getting back into a routine where productivity is prioritized over distraction!

Low quality customer service

One of the most important aspects of customer service is being attentive to your customers’ needs. This can mean anything from answering their questions to making them feel valued and respected in every interaction. However, this does not always happen with all companies, including one that I had a recent experience with.  In my case, the company failed to address any concerns or answer any questions I had about their product and instead brushed me off by telling me they were too busy to help me. The person who answered the phone was rude and unhelpful which made it difficult for me as a customer because I wasn’t able to get what I needed before purchasing their product online.
