These recipes are all from our friend, the great and wonderful, Jennifer, who is known far and wide for her wonderful recipes. For those of you who are fans of The Happy Homestead you will be in for a treat as she is bringing you some of her delicious recipes.
We have some new recipes to share with all of you as well, including some of her amazing dishes and desserts. This has been a great opportunity for us to get our cookbooks in print as well as to see other recipes we may not have thought of. We hope you all enjoy these recipes, they are all from the chef, Jennifer, and her great recipes.
This is a bit of an old story. I remember back in the day when the Happy Homestead was on the air, our first recipe was a chocolate cake that had a recipe that was way beyond our ability to make. We just made up our own so there was some fluffiness at first, but then we realized we were missing something. We eventually had to go back to the recipe and make it ourselves. Jennifer, we have to give a shout out.

The first time we made a baked good, the recipe was a chocolate cake. We made that recipe just a few days ago, and it was a hit. The recipe we used was from The Happy Homestead cookbook, which we both happened to have. It was way out of our reach, but it was nice to try and figure out how to make it. Since we liked it so much, we made it every morning for our family.
A few weeks ago, we found that the recipe we made was even better than we remembered, and the recipe for our version was exactly the same as the original. We were so excited that we thought we would never be able to cook this recipe again. But we are! For this week’s recipe, we took a few things out and made it our own.
The most surprising thing about this recipe? It actually tastes better than the original, which is surprising because the original is a pretty bland and bland recipe, but really we were surprised that it was so good. (Hint: it tastes better with more water.
The original recipe from the previous episode was really just a basic recipe for a simple, yet tasty, dessert. We thought it would be great to make this one more sophisticated. Turns out it’s surprisingly easy to make as well. The key to making it taste so good is by using a double boiler to reduce the liquid to a consistency that is both nice and smooth. The biggest challenge, though, is mixing the whole thing together.
