There is the Netflix version, the new season, and then there is the season 2. Season 2 is the newest, and probably going to be the best, but season one is also pretty good and really worth watching.
Netflix has been very generous with its new releases this year, and I’m glad to see that season two will be as well. The second season of Factions is a bit of a mixed bag. I can see the appeal of the show’s main character and the way you can build your own narrative around him, but it’s not the story I’m most interested in, and the plot is a little too “gothic” for my tastes.
The story of the second season is about the fate of the main character, Colt Vahn, and that of his faction. Vahn is a man whose actions he regrets, and who has come to regret them in the same time period that he has come to regret the actions of his faction. He is now able to join the fight against the Visionaries, but he has a choice that he makes that he regrets.
There are certainly some stories that you could tell about Vahn that wouldn’t go over as well. There are stories that he would tell that would make this story less of a mystery and more of a mystery where we could learn more about the factions that he is connected to. But I don’t want to force such a story on you with my own writing.

It’s nice to know that Vahn is involved with the same faction as his brother and sister, but I don’t know how well they are going to mesh together. I’m hoping they will, but it’s also sort of a case by case thing. It’s not clear yet if they will be on the same side or the same faction.
I don’t know what to say to that so I can’t really think of anything else.
It’s not even clear if Vahn is the one who set up the organization or if he is just a loose cannon, but he does seem to have some connections to the organization. They are probably going to be the ones to go after the real leaders of the faction, which is fun. I also loved how they chose to kill a bunch of people while we were watching.
The group of people who are supposed to be “the faction” will be the ones to make it to the final battle. I would be surprised if they don’t all end up on the same side. Vahn’s side will probably be more “dark” than ours, but it will still be fun to watch the fireworks go off.
If this story is true, this will be the second time we’ve seen netflix team up with a real organization. The first one was netflix vs. Sony. In that story, the group of people who are supposed to be the faction is the one who managed to destroy Sony’s servers. Even though Sony’s servers were destroyed, the group of people who was supposed to fight back against Sony and were fighting against netflix are still fighting a losing battle.
