Thai people have a reputation for being some of the healthiest and longest living in the world. Thai cuisine is known for its balance between healthy ingredients, with just enough spice to make it interesting. Thai dishes are also usually gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan or can be made with simple substitutions. Thai food has been popularized all over the world in recent years; but what would happen if you tried to create Thai-inspired dishes at home?

This article will show you how!

A traditional Thai meal consists mainly of rice (or noodles), different curries served on top such as red curry chicken or green papaya salad which come together to form an aromatic flavor profile that we call “nam jim Thai”, and Thai iced tea.

It’s easy to make Thai dishes at home, you just need a few ingredients! Thai green curry paste is one of the most important ingredients in Thai cooking; it can be found in any Asian grocery store or ordered online.

For example here are some simple steps to follow for making an authentic Green Curry:

Saute onions until they’re soft (but not brown). Add garlic and ginger root then stir fry till fragrant. Mix together with your choice of protein chicken breast, tofu etc. and chopped broccoli over medium heat until fully cooked through. Stir in coconut milk along with green curry paste and cook for another minute before turning off the heat. Serve atop steamed Jasmine rice or Thai rice noodles.

Thai iced tea

Thai iced tea is a refreshing drink that’s easy to make at home! You’ll need black or green tea, sugar (or honey), and Thai chilies. Boil water in a kettle then combine the boiled water with your choice of type of tea black or green a couple tablespoons worth of sugar, and Thai chili peppers on top. Pour into glasses over ice cubes and enjoy!

Thai cuisine is one of the most popular cuisines in the world and Thai-inspired recipes are a great way to add some variety into your diet.

Benefits:

  • Thai food uses coconut milk, peanut butter, ginger root, garlic cloves, limes and cilantro as common ingredients.
  • Thai food is also naturally vegan, gluten free and high in fiber.
  • Thai cuisine makes it easy to try new flavors without having much risk of accidentally eating anything unhealthy because Thai dishes are packed with flavor but don’t have many ingredients or steps that can go wrong.
  • Thai foods are low in calories so they’re a great option if you need to slim down before your wedding or other event where you want to look your best!
  • Thai recipes will help you get more iron into your diet which helps fight fatigue, anemia and feelings of depression. Iron deficiency has been linked with chronic headaches as well as digestive issues like constipation and heartburn too. By adding extra protein onto the side such as Thai curry, you’ll be adding more iron to your diet as well.

Peanut Tofu Soup

Peanut butter gives a rich taste while soy sauce provides saltiness which balances out with fresh tomatoes’ sweetness. With vegetables added for flavor like carrots (which also help to add a little bit of color) and Thai basil, this soup is perfect for any time of the day!

Thai-style Rice Casserole

This rice dish incorporates Thai ingredients such as cilantro, coconut milk, Thai red curry paste and green chilies. It also includes both protein (chicken breast) and vegetables to make it a well rounded meal that will satisfy you without weighing you down.

Green Curry with Tofu

If you’re looking for an alternative to chicken or shrimp in your Green Curry recipe then try swapping out one cup worth of the meat/protein topping with tofu cubes instead–this just adds more texture while still having all those flavors from fresh Thai basil and lime juice on top!

Green Thai Curry

Thai curries are traditionally served over rice, which is often steamed in coconut milk. This helps to add more richness and flavor while the protein (chicken) provides a boost of energy that will keep you feeling full for longer than one meal on its own might.

Lemon-Poppyseed Muffins

Thai cuisine offers many unusual spices such as cinnamon, turmeric and ginger root but there’s also some common ingredients too–like lemons! These muffins provide an easy way to try out new flavors with only three simple steps.

Thai Coconut Cookies

Thai dishes don’t always have many ingredients or complicated cooking processes so they’re perfect for beginners who want to test their skills at home without risking a complicated meal. Thai coconut cookies are a great way to introduce the flavors and techniques of Thai cuisine at home without having to worry about anything going wrong in the kitchen.
